As the United States prepares to assume the chairmanship of the Arctic Council this year, it has a powerful diplomatic resource:  U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden, Mark Brzezinski '87, who has made understanding the global impact of climate change and environmental challenges in the Arctic, and development of strong international cooperation in the region, a centerpiece of his work since assuming the U.S. Ambassadorship in 2011. Part of this focus includes a series of videos and a twitter feed on the challenges of climate change and international cooperation in the Arctic (See his films with Swedish comedian Felix Herngren at  #oursharedarctic ).  We are delighted to welcome Ambassador Brzezinski back to Dartmouth as a Montgomery Fellow as part of our winter term focus on Climate Change and Society.
