In a warming Arctic, the walrus is rapidly becoming a big player in the international political arena, with consequences for shipping, military security, food security and natural resource extraction. Dr. Arnbom, an international expert on marine mammals, is a visiting Fulbright Arctic Initiative Scholar at Dartmouth, where he is working on the development of an international treaty for walrus
