Dr. Peiwen Lu is an associate professor in Dept. of Geography, National Changhua University of Education. She has a transdisciplinary training background from geography, architecture, urban design to spatial planning. Her expertise includes planning governance, resilient cities, climate change adaptation, inter/intra national comparison and IoTs participatory mapping. Dr. Lu's recent research focuses mainly on the impact of offshore wind power industry on local communities' development. Through international collaborations and local field investigations in Changhua, she aims to establish an environmental governance framework that promotes fairness and justice from a spatial planning perspective. She has been awarded the Outstanding Research Award and Outstanding Industry-Academia Collaboration Award for six consecutive years at her university. She also actively participates in government planning practices, including working with National Land Management Agency under the Ministry of the Interior and the Water Resources Agency under the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Her commitment extends to providing scientific decision-making support and research on just transition and marine renewable energy, as seen in her recent collaborative efforts with the Ocean Affairs Council.
Dr. Lu's guest visiting is supported by National Science and Technology Council and Delta Electronics Foundation.
